A RESOLUTION approving the opportunity fund projects for 2009.
Body
WHEREAS, in Resolutions FCZD 2008-10.2 and 2008-15.2, the board of supervisors allocated ten percent of the dDistrict's annual property tax revenues for a sub-regional opportunity fund to be used by King County municipalities for certain projects as authorized by such resolutions; and
WHEREAS, the water and land resources division of the King County department of natural resources and parks, on behalf of the district, has solicited and reviewed applications from King County municipalities for opportunity fund projects to be considered by the board of supervisors in 2009; and
WHEREAS, the water and land resources division has recommended certain opportunity fund projects to the board of supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the district executive director has reviewed the recommendations of the water and land resources division, and concurs with them; and
WHEREAS, the board of supervisors desires to approve opportunity fund projects for the year 2009;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
The opportunity fund projects described in Attachment A to this resolution, which is entitled King County Flood Control District 2009 Opportunity Fund Projects, is adopted.
