Title

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into a lease agreement with United Parcel Service, Inc., as tenant, for county-owned land located at King County International Airport in council district eight.

Body

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

1.  The facilities management division determined that the county should award a lease of the county-owned land located at King County International Airport through a direct negotiation with interested parties without bidding pursuant to K.C.C. 4.56.160.

2.  The facilities management division successfully negotiated a lease for the county-owned land with United Parcel Service, Inc.

3.  The facilities management division shall give notice of its intent to execute the lease by publishing a notice in a legal newspaper at least once a week for two weeks before execution.

                     BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:

                     SECTION 1.  The executive is authorized to execute a lease for the county-owned

 

land with United Parcel Service, Inc., substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, and to take all actions necessary to implement the terms of the lease.
