Title

A MOTION related to council adoption of the King County Auditor's Office 2019-2020 Work Program.

Body

                     WHEREAS, K.C.C.2.20.045 states that the council shall review and approve by motion a work program prepared by the auditor for the county auditor's office every two years, and

                     WHEREAS, the mission of the independent county auditor's office is to advance performance, accountability, transparency, and equity in county government, promote due diligence, and serve the public interest through objective and independent audits, oversight, studies, and related services, and

                     WHEREAS, the work program shall include the audits, oversight and special studies to be conducted and managed by the county auditor's office, and

                     WHEREAS, the 2019-2020 county auditor's work program has been developed and is attached to this motion;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The King County Auditor's Office 2019-2020 Work Program, Attachment A to this motion, is hereby adopted.
