A MOTION requesting development of a new Executive Director staffing model for consideration and final approval by the King County Flood Control District Board of Supervisors.

WHEREAS, since the inception of the King County Flood Control Zone District ("District"), the affairs of the District have been provided by a part-time executive director; and
WHEREAS, the primary focus of the executive director has been to focus upon the administrative needs of District; and
WHEREAS, the District recognizes that as its needs have evolved, due to the growth and complexity of the District operations and capital program, to the point where the executive director must also now provide policy direction and greater oversight and coordination over the affairs of the District; and
WHEREAS, the board of supervisors has determined that it is in the best interests of the District to hire a full-time employee to manage the affairs of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT MOVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:
District staff shall develop staffing model options for a full-time executive
director for the King County Flood Control Zone District for consideration by the executive committee and approval by the Board.
