AN ORDINANCE authorizing the executive to enter into an amendment to the Conservation Futures Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the city of Lake Forest Park for the Grace Cole Memorial park acquisition project, authorized under Ordinance 14409.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  Conservation futures tax levy funds are collected through King County as a dedicated portion of the property tax and are, by statute, available only for the acquisition of open space and resource lands.
2.  Ordinance 13717 established a process for the distribution of conservation futures tax levy funds.
3.  On July 19, 2002, by Ordinance 14409, the King County council allocated $50,000 in conservation futures funds to the city of Lake Forest Park (city) Grace Cole Memorial park acquisition project.
4.  The county desires to disburse conservation futures funds to the city and must do so by amending the existing conservation futures interlocal cooperation agreement with the city.
5.  King County is authorized to enter into interlocal agreements with the cities pursuant to chapter 39.34 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into an amendment to the Conservation Futures Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the City of Lake Forest Park for Open Space Acquisition Projects, in substantially the form of
