A MOTION acknowledging receipt of a report on the status of the language access plans required by Ordinance 18665, Section 6, in accordance with the 2025 Annual Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19861, Section 17, Proviso P1.

                     WHEREAS, the 2025 Annual Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19861, Section 17, Proviso P1, requires the executive to transmit a report on the status of language access plans across county departments, offices, and agencies, accompanied by a motion that should acknowledge receipt of the applicable report, and

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 19861, Section 17, Proviso P1, states that the report and the motion should be transmitted no later than August 31, 2025, and

                     WHEREAS, Ordinance 19861, Section 17, Proviso P1, provides that $100,000 shall not be expended or encumbered until the executive transmits both the report and the motion, and the motion acknowledging receipt is passed, and

                     WHEREAS, upon passage of the motion, $100,000 shall be released for expenditure or encumbrance, and

                     WHEREAS, the council has acknowledged receipt of the report transmitted by the executive;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The receipt of a report on the status of language access plans and services across

King County, Attachment A to this motion, in accordance with the 2025 Annual Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19861, Section 17, Proviso P1, is hereby acknowledged.
