Title
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the city of Auburn for the King County road services division to provide road-related maintenance services such as striping, pavement markings, bridge inspections and emergency-related maintenance and repair services.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The city of Auburn has the legal responsibility to maintain and repair the public roads and infrastructure within its service area.
2.  The city of Auburn requests that the King County road services division provide certain road maintenance and repair services such as striping, pavement markings, bridge inspections and related repair and emergency-related maintenance and repair services.
3.  King County road services division is willing and able to perform such services for the city of Auburn.
4.  The parties can achieve cost savings and benefits that are in the public's interest by having the King County road services division provide striping, pavement markings, bridge inspections and related repair and emergency-related maintenance and repair services, at the city of Auburn's expense.
5.  Chapter 39.34 RCW authorizes King County and the city of Auburn to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement such as Attachment A to this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to execute an interlocal agreement, substantially in the form of Attachment A to this ordinance, with
the city of Auburn allowing the King County road services division to provide road-related maintenance services.
