Councilmember Dembowski moved approval of the February 27, 2024 meeting  
minutes. There being no objections, the minutes were approved.

A MOTION appointing a qualified person to a vacant position on the public hospital district No. 1 board  
of commissioners.  
Sherrie Hsu, Council staff, provided an introductory overview. James Griggs, Peter  
Haroldson, Ricardo Polintan, applicants to the Public Hospital District No. 1 Board of  
Commissioners, provided comments on their backgrounds and interests on serving  
on the board and answered questions from the members.  
The chair recessed the meeting into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(h) at  
10:42 AM for 15 minutes for the purpose of evaluating the qualifications of a  
candidate for appointment to elective office. The executive session was extended for  
5 minutes.The meeting returned to regular session at 11:02 AM.  
Councilmember Upthegrove made an oral amendment to insert the name "Ricardo  
Polintan" into the empty space on line 26 of the proposed motion. There being no  
objections, the amendment was adopted.  
This matter was expedited to the April 2, 2024 meeting of the King County Council.  
A motion was made by Councilmember Upthegrove that this Motion be  
Recommended Do Pass Substitute Consent. The motion carried by the  
following vote:

resources and parks.  
Andrew Kim, Council staff, briefed the committee.

from the members.  
This matter was expedited to the April 2, 2024 meeting of the King County Council.

Implementation Board as a King County council appointee for the remainder of a five-year term  
expiring December 31, 2024.

Rian Watt, appointee, and Nigel Herbig, Intergovernmental Relations Manager, King  
County Regional Homelessness Authority, answered questions from the members.
