Call to Order
The Metropolitan King County Council Committee-of-the-Whole meeting was called to order at 9:42
a.m. by Madam Chair Sullivan.
 
Roll Call
Present: Ms. Sullivan, Mr. von Reichbauer, Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Constantine,
Mr. Pullen, Mr. Gossett, Ms. Hague, Mr. Irons and Ms. Patterson
Excused: Ms. Lambert and Mr. Phillips
 
Additions to the Council Agenda of May 28, 2002
1.
Proposed Motion 2002-0224 was placed on the Metropolitan King County Council agenda to be
rereferred to the Committee-of-the-Whole.

Proposed Motion 2002-0251 was placed on the Metropolitan King County Council agenda for
introduction and referral to the Law, Justice and Human Services Committee with the understanding
of the possibility of it being briefed before the Regional Policy Committee.
 
Approval of Minutes of May 13, 2002 and May 20, 2002
2.
Councilmember Hague moved to approve the meeting minutes of May 13, 2002 and May 20, 2002,
as presented. The motion passed.
Special Recognition
3. Recognizing Johnny Wade as the King County Metro Transit Operator of the Year.
Councilmembers Dwight Pelz and McKenna read and presented the special recognition to Johnny
Wade proclaiming him the King County Metro Transit Operator of the Year. Mr. Wade thanked the
Committee.

A MOTION relating to Referendum Bill 51, which will appear on the November 2002
general election ballot.

A motion was made by Mr. Pelz that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The motion
carried by the following vote:

Yes: 8 - Mr. von Reichbauer, Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Gossett, Ms. Hague, Mr.
Irons and Ms. Patterson
No: 3 - Ms. Sullivan, Mr. Constantine and Mr. Pullen
Excused: 2 - Ms. Lambert and Mr. Phillips
Public Comment Period Required by RCW 42.17.130.
