AN ORDINANCE relating to an agreement for joint light rail and bus operations in the
downtown Seattle transit tunnel with the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority; adopting an agreement between and among King County, the city of Seattle and the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority. |

Paul Carlson and Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance
2002-0243. David Hopkins, King County Regional Transit Manager; Jim Jacobson, King County Metro Transit Deputy General Manager; Paul Matsuoka, Deputy Executive Director; and Ahmad Fazel, Sound Transit were present to brief and answer questions of the Committee. There were 2 technical amendments adopted 6-0-1 with Councilmember Lambert excused. |

Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) and the state of Washington, by and through its Department of Transportation to provide the real property, real property interests, and associated operating agreements to allow Sound Transit to construct and operate a LINK light rail alignment on and adjacent to the E-3 Busway between the southern boundary of the Downtown Transit Tunnel and South Forest Street. |
