Call to Order
Chair Gossett called the meeting to order at 9:40 a.m.
 
Roll Call
Present: Mr. Gossett, Ms. Lambert, Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Constantine and Mr. Pullen
Excused: Mr. Pelz and Mr. McKenna
 
Approval of Minutes of June 20, 2002

The meeting minutes of June 20, 2002 were approved as corrected.
Discussion and Possible Action

Proposed Ordinance No. 2002-0251 Mr. Gossett
AN ORDINANCE approving the Adult Justice Operational Master Plan.
Clif Curry and Doug Stevenson, Council Staff, briefed the committee on Proposed Ordinance
2002-0251. Ethan Raup, Deputy Chief of Staff, King County Executive, and Jackie MacLean, Acting
Director, Department of Community and Human Services, commented and responded to members'
questions. The following guest speakers also commented: Gladys Dampier, Kevin Goodwin, Jarvis
C. Bailey, and Katie Jones, Cedar Hills Addiction Treatment Center; Pat Knox, Director, Recovery
Centers of King County and Al Sweden, Manager, Chemical Dependency Services, Seattle Indian
Health Board.

A motion was made by Ms. Lambert that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 4 - Mr. Gossett, Ms. Lambert, Ms. Edmonds and Mr. Constantine
No: 0
Excused: 2 - Mr. Pelz and Mr. McKenna
 
Other Business
There was no other business to come before the committee.
 
Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
