Whitney's Meadow - Council District 11
Ms. Hague moved to adopt the DDES finding of fact that the final plat of Whitney's Meadow
complies with the conditions of preliminary plat approval and other applicable laws, and that the
Chair is authorized to signify Council approval by signing the final plat at the end of the meeting.
Seeing no objection, the Chair so ordered.
Maple Ridge Highlands Div. 2 - Council District 12
Ms. Hague moved to adopt the DDES finding of fact that the final plat of Maple Ridge Highlands
Div. 2 complies with the conditions of preliminary plat approval and other applicable laws, and that
the Chair is authorized to signify Council approval by signing the final plat at the end of the meeting.
Seeing no objection, the Chair so ordered.
 
Special Items
4.
Presentation of a Certificate of Recognition to Bud and Marilyn Melby honoring them for the
success of their Mechanical Museum of Art.
Mr. von Reichbauer read and presented the recognition to Bud and Marilyn Melby. The Melbys
thanked the Council and introduced their family members who were in attendance.
Presentation of a Certificate of Recognition celebrating August 15, 2002 as Korean
Independence Day.
Mr. von Reichbauer read and presented the recognition to the Honorable Byung-Rok Moon, Consul
General of the Republic of Korea. The Consul General thanked the Council. Federal Way
Councilmember Mike Park thanked the Council and introduced members of the Korean community.

question of the formation of a park and recreation district encompassing portions of the
Finn Hill annexation area, King County, Washington, and requesting in addition that the
manager of records, elections and licensing place on the November 5, 2002, ballot the
proposed district's ballot measures to authorize a six-year regular property tax for the
district and elect the five initial parks commissioners.

disposition of the proceeds of sale; establishing funds for the receipt and expenditure of
bond proceeds and for the payment of the bonds; and providing for the annual levy of taxes
