Call to Order
The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:07 P.M. by Chair Pelz.

A MOTION declaring the intention of the King County council to create Road
Improvement District 132 to improve 39th Avenue South and South 378th Street, to
confirm the final assessment roll for Road Improvement District 132, and set the date for a
public hearing.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Motion 2003-0193. There was an
amendment adopted.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute
Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:
Votes:
Yes: 4 - Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Ms. Edmonds and Ms. Lambert
No: 0
Excused: 3 - Mr. Gossett, Mr. Irons and Ms. Patterson

Proposed Substitute Ordinance No.
2003-0194.2

AN ORDINANCE creating King County Road Improvement District 132 and ordering the
improvement of a portion of 39th Avenue South and South 378th Street, authorizing
interim financing, confirming the final assessment roll and levying assessments against the
property within said district.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2003-0194. There was
an amendment adopted.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Passed Out of Committee Without a
Recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 4 - Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Ms. Edmonds and Ms. Lambert
No: 0

assessment roll and confirm the reassessment roll for King County Road Improvement
District 129, and set the date for a public hearing.

amendment adopted.
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute
Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

roll for the improvement of a portion of SE 145th Street and 209th Avenue SE and levying
assessments against property within said district; and amending Ordinance 14243, Section 4
and Ordinance 14243, Section 5.

A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Passed Out of Committee Without a
Recommendation. The motion carried by the following vote:

Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee. Linda Dougherty, Roads Services Division
Manager and Rick Brater, Roads Engineering Services Section Manager were present to brief and
answer questions from the Committee.
This matter was Presented.

Briefing No. 2003-B0091
2003 Roads Capital Improvement Program Reallocation Report.
Paul Carlson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee. Linda Dougherty, King County Roads Services
Division and Jennifer Lindwall, King County Roads Services Division were present to brief and
answer questions from the Committee on the 2003 Roads Capital Improvement Program
Reallocation Report.

This matter was Presented.
