Call to Order
The Law, Justice and Human Services Committee meeting was called to order at 9:42 a.m. in the
Metropolitan King County Council Chambers by Chair Larry Gossett.

Present: Mr. Gossett, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna and Mr. Constantine

1. Approval of Minutes of October 3, 2002 and February 6, 2003
A motion was made by Councilmember Lambert to approve the meeting minutes of October 3, 2002
and February 6, 2003 as presented. The motion passed.

A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Jerry Saltzman, who resides in
council district five, to the King County board of ethics.
Gennevie Cook, Council Staff, briefed the Committee.

Jerry Saltzman, Appointee, and Cathy Clemens, Board of Ethics Liaison, answered questions from the
Committee.
 
A motion was made by Ms. Lambert that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Votes: Yes: 5 - Mr. Gossett, Ms. Lambert, Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna and Mr. Constantine
No: 0
Excused: 2 - Ms. Edmonds and Mr. Pullen

Gennevie Cook, Council Staff, briefed the committee.

James Nobles, Appointee, and Jean Robertson, Assistant Director, Mental Health Community and
Human Services Division, answered questions from the Committee.

Rhoda Naguit, King County Mental Health Advisory Board Liaison, was present to answer questions
from the Committee.
 
A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:
