A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Zain Jinnah, who resides in council district two, to
the King County immigrant and refugee commission.
Melissa Bailey, Council staff, Dae Shogren, KCC, Staff Liaison, Immigrant and
Refugee Commission, and Brian Chu, OERSJ, Staff Liaison, Immigrant and Refugee
Commission, briefed the committee. On behalf of Zain Jinnah, appointee, Dae
Shogren, KCC, Staff Liaison, Immigrant and Refugee Commission, answered
questions from the members.
A motion was made by Councilmember Quinn that this Motion be
Recommended Do Pass Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

An ORDINANCE approving the grant funding allocation for the council-designated projects funded through
the WaterWorks grant program, for the 2025 cycle, in accordance with Ordinance 18031, Section 1 as
amended, and the 2025 Annual Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19861, Section 114, as amended by
Ordinance 19956, Section 59.
Andy Micklow, Council staff (on behalf of Jenny Giambattista, Council staff), Elizabeth
Loudon, WaterWorks Grant Manager, King County Wastewater Treatment Division,
and Sharman Herrin, Government Relations Manager, King County Wastewater
Treatment Division, briefed the committee and answered questions from the members.
Councilmember Quinn moved approval of Amendment 1, Amendment 2, and Title
Amendment T1. There being no objections, the amendments were adopted.
A motion was made by Councilmember Quinn that this Ordinance be
Recommended Do Pass Substitute Consent. The motion carried by the
following vote:
