Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 1:37 p.m.

Flag Salute and Pledge of Allegiance
Mr. McKenna led the flag salute and Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Approval of Minutes of February 10, 2003 and Special Meeting (Land Use
Appeals) of February 10, 2003

Mr. von Reichbauer moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 10, 2003 and
Special Meeting (Land Use Appeals) of February 10, 2003 without reading. Seeing no objection, the
Chair so ordered.
 
Reports on Special and Outside Committees

Mr. von Reichbauer reported on the participation of several members in a delegation to Washington,
D.C. to lobby on behalf of King County. He indicated their meeting with members of the Senate and
House was very constructive.
Ms. Lambert also commented on this subject, indicating the meeting was a great opportunity and
very profitable. She also complimented the Ferguson Group on its efforts on King County's behalf.

Ms. Lambert briefed the Council on her participation in representing the State of Washington at the
President's Prayer Breakfast. She indicated 182 countries were represented.

Ms. Lambert reported on her attendance at the WSAC CJIC (Washington State Association of
Counties Criminal Justice Information Committee) in Olympia. The committee is working on the
coordination between various levels of the criminal justice system, to make sure all levels are
working together. The committee reviewed several bills before the Legislature, and will meet again
in March.

Ms. Lambert also thanked the State Patrol and Seattle Police for clearing the SR 520 bridge. She
was heartened to see law enforcement protecting all citizens.

Murphey's Landing - Council District 5
Mr. von Reichbauer moved to adopt the DDES finding of fact that the final plat of Murphey's
Landing complies with the conditions of preliminary plat approval and other applicable laws, and
that the Chair is authorized to signify Council approval by signing the final plat at the end of the
meeting. Seeing no objection, the Chair so ordered.
