Reports on Special and Outside Committees

Mr. Pelz reported on the Sound Transit Board and the authorization of the purchase of property for |
|
construction purposes on Capitol Hill. The Board has applied for federal funding for Capitol Hill |
|
and Husky Stadium. Mr. Pelz noted the very favorable numbers of ridership for both north and south |
|
of downtown. There was also a review of the status of the line along SR 518. The construction of |
|
elevated light rail was moving very fast. Mr. Pelz was excited at the progress of the construction and |
|
that the Board is moving forward to go north of downtown. |
