Reports on Special and Outside Committees

Mr. Pelz reported on the Sound Transit Board and the authorization of the purchase of property for 
construction purposes on Capitol Hill.  The Board has applied for federal funding for Capitol Hill 
and Husky Stadium.  Mr. Pelz noted the very favorable numbers of ridership for both north and south 
of downtown.  There was also a review of the status of the line along SR 518.  The construction of 
elevated light rail was moving very fast.  Mr. Pelz was excited at the progress of the construction and 
that the Board is moving forward to go north of downtown.
