Call to Order
The meeting of the Natural Resources and Utilities Committee was called to order at 1:37 P.M. by
Chair Edmonds.
 
Roll Call
Present: Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Constantine, Mr. Ferguson and Mr. von Reichbauer
Excused: Ms. Hague
 
Approval of Minutes
1.
The minutes of Natural Resources, Parks and Open Space Committee of December 4, and the
minutes of Utilities Committee of August 20 and September 9, 2003 meetings were approved as
written.

Natural Resources and Utilities: Summary of Committee's Jurisdictional Responsibilities.
Mike Reed, Peggy Dorothy and Marilyn Cope, Council Staff, briefed and answer questions from the
Committee on the Natural Resources and Utilities Committee's Jurisdictional Responsibilities.
This matter was Presented.

Proposed Ordinance No. 2003-0511 Ms. Edmonds
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to enter into an interlocal agreement
with the city of Redmond to provide landmark designation and protection services.
Mike Reed, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2003-0511 with a power
point presentation. Julie Koler, King County Historic Preservation Officer and Dianna Broadie,
Senior Planner, City of Redmond were present to answer questions from the Committee.
A motion was made by Mr. Constantine that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Votes:
Yes: 4 - Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Constantine, Mr. Ferguson and Mr. von Reichbauer
No: 0
Excused: 1 - Ms. Hague

Proposed Ordinance No. 2003-0512 Ms. Edmonds

with the city of Maple Valley to provide landmark designation and protection services.
Mike Reed, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2003-0512 with a power
point presentation. Julie Koler, King County Historic Preservation Officer was present to answer
questions from the Committee.
A motion was made by Mr. Constantine that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 4 - Ms. Edmonds, Mr. Constantine, Mr. Ferguson and Mr. von Reichbauer
No: 0
Excused: 1 - Ms. Hague
