The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:38 P.M. by Chair Pelz.

A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Betty Richardson, to the working
group for the North Lake Union project outlined in a proviso in the 2004 Budget
Ordinance, Ordinance 14797, Section 103.
Paul Carlson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on the North Lake Union project. Items 3-12
were held. Ms. Betty Richardson, appointee, was present to brief and answer questions from the
Committee on her appointment to the North Lake Union project. Amendment #1 moved by
Councilmember Jane Hague was adopted 7-0-0 to add attachment to the Motion.
A motion was made by Ms. Hague that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute
Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:

AN ORDINANCE for the September 2004 public transportation service improvements for
King County.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2004-0200. Victor
Obeso, Supervisor of Service Planning and Jack Lattemann, Planner, Transit Division, were present

to brief and answer questions from the Committee on the changes to the routes. The following panel
was present: Mr. Hans Brandal and Katherine Williams, members, Southwest Transit Sounding
Board (Burien); Brian Gix, Ms. Robin Rowedder and Ray Day, Jr., members, Rainier
Valley/Broadway Sounding Board were present to brief and answer questions from the members. The
