The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:07 P.M. by Councilmember
Patterson.

Proposed Motion No. 2003-0356 Mr. von Reichbauer
A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Sandy Paul-Lyle, who resides in
council district seven, to the King County transit advisory committee.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Motion 2003-0356. Ms. Sandy
Paul-Lyle was present to answer questions from the Committee on her appointment to King County
transit advisory committee.
A motion was made by Ms. Edmonds that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:

Proposed Substitute Ordinance No.
2003-0334.2

AN ORDINANCE revising the process for considering citizen-initiated road closure
requests, establishing the procedures for determining road reopening requests, establishing
the procedures for public outreach and notification; making technical corrections;
amending Ordinance 10962, Sections 1 and 6, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.38.010 and
Ordinance 10962, Sections 3 and 4, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.38.030 and adding new
sections to K.C.C. chapter 14.38.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2003-0334. Linda
Dougherty, Manager King County Road Services Division and Mark Mitchell, Supervising
Engineer, Traffic Engineering Section were present to answer questions from the Committee. There
were two amendments adopted 4-0-3 with Councilmembers Pelz, McKenna and Gossett excused.
A motion was made by Ms. Edmonds that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute.
