Call to Order
The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1;08 p.m. by Chair Pelz.

2003-0035.2
Mr. Pelz and Mr. McKenna
AN ORDINANCE adopting revised concurrency methodology and the new transportation
concurrency map, the new monitored zones table, and the new list of monitored corridors;
amending Ordinance 14050, Section 8, and K.C.C. 14.70.210, Ordinance 14050, Section 9,
as amended, and K.C.C. 14.70.220, Ordinance 14050, Section 12, and K.C.C. 14.70.250,
Ordinance 14050, Section 13, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.70.260 and Ordinance 14050,
Section 14, as amended, and K.C.C.14.70.270, reenacting and amending Ordinance 14050,
Section 10, as amended, and K.C.C. 14.70.230, adding a new section to K.C.C. chapter
14.70 and repealing Ordinance 14375, Attachment A, Ordinance 14375, Attachment B, and
Ordinance 14050, Attachment B.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on proposed Ordinance 2003-0035. Kevin
Wright, Prosecuting Attorney's office; Richard Warren, Road Division, and Linda Dougherty,
Manager, Roads Services Division, Department of Transportation were present to brief and anwser
questions from the Committee. The following person was present to offer public testimony before the
Committee:

A motion was made by Mr. McKenna that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Proposed Motion No. 2003-0060 Mr. Pelz and Mr. McKenna
A MOTION authorizing the executive to execute an interlocal agreement for the design,
implementation, operation and maintenance of the Regional Fare Coordination System.
Arthur Thornbury, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Motion 2003-0060. Rick
Walsh, Transit General Manager; Candace Carlson, Regional Fare Project Manager, MITT Section
and Peggy Willis, Manger, Management Information and Transit Technology, Department of
Transportation were present to brief and answer question from the Committee. The following person
was present to offer public testimony before the Committee:
