The meeting was called to order at 1:38 p.m.

Mr. Irons led the flag salute and Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Approval of Minutes of May 10, 2004 and Special Meeting of May 10, 2004

Mr. Hammond moved to approve the minutes of the May 10, 2004 meeting and Special Meeting of
May 10, 2004 as presented. Seeing no objection, the Chair so ordered.
 
Reports on Special and Outside Committees

Mr. Irons reported that at its May 6, 2004 meeting, the Economic Development Council had a panel
discussion of designing economic vitality. It was a good discussion regarding what economic vitality
is, how to accomplish it and how to sustain it for the future. Items of discussion were the work force,
education, transportation and roads.

Mr. Constantine reported on the Watershed Resource Inventory Area 9 Steering Committee
(Green/Duwamish Watershed salmon recovery effort). The committee discussed moving its planning
effort forward regarding specific projects that are being previewed as nominees for funding. The
committee had a presentation on the use of pervious concrete. Mr. Constantine found the
presentation interesting and helpful to land owners and the environment in rural and agricultural
areas. He offered to share material he obtained from the presentation with anyone who might be
interested.

Mr. Constantine moved to adopt the DDES finding of fact that the final plat of R-4 complies with the
conditions of preliminary plat approval and other applicable laws, and that the Chair is authorized
to signify Council approval by signing the final plat at the end of the meeting. Seeing no objection,
the Chair so ordered.

AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic control, prohibiting parking during the hours of 7:00

On 5/17/2004, a public hearing was held and closed.

representing employees in the superior court, and establishing the effective date of said
agreement.
On 5/17/2004, a public hearing was held and closed.
