The Metropolitan king County Council's Committee-of-the-Whole meeting was called to order at 9:45
am. by Madam Chair Sullivan. |

1. | Additions to the Council agenda of January 13, 2003 | |||
Proposed Ordinance 2003-0006 was placed on the Metropolitan King County Council's agenda for
introduction and referred to the Committee-of-the-Whole. |
2. | Approval of Minutes of December 16, 2002 | |||
Councilmember Phillips moved to approve the meeting minutes of December 16, 2002 as presented.
The motion passed. |
Special Recognition |
3. | Honoring the vision and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and proclaiming the month of
January as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. recognition month in King County. |

Scott White, Council Staff, briefed the Committee.
Council Chair Cynthia Sullivan and Councilmember Larry Gossett read and presented the special recognition honoring the vision and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and proclaiming the month of January as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. recognition month in King County. Michael Smith, Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and Bailey Deiongh, Office of Civil Rights, accepted and thanked the Committee for the special recognition. |

A MOTION establishing 2003 federal legislative agenda for King County. | |||||||
Chuck Williams, Director of Government Relations, briefed the Committee.
A motion was made by Councilmember Pelz to adopt Attachments A and B. The motion passed 8-0 with Councilmembers von Reichbauer, Hague, Pullen, McKenna and Irons excused. |
