Dr. Sandra Valenciano, Director, Public Health - Seattle & King County, briefed the  
board on leadership transition, department updates, legislative updates, the health of  
King County, and the Board of Health Workplan.

Election of Chair and Vice Chairs  
Joy Carpine-Cazzanti, Board Administrator, briefed the Board and answered questions.  
Chair Mosqueda passed the gavel to Vice Chair Daniels to lead on election of the  
Chair.  
Boardmember Lewis made a motion to nominate Boardmember Mosqueda as Chair of  
the Board of Health. The motion carried.  
Boardmember Loo made a motion to nominate Boardmember Daniels as Vice Chair  
representing nonelected officials. The motion carried.  
Boardmember Rinck made a motion to nominate Boardmember Foster as Vice Chair  
representing city and county officials. The motion carried.  
Discussion and Possible Action

A RESOLUTION designating the order in which the vice-chairs of the King County Board of Health may  
act in the absence of the chair in 2026.  
A motion was made by Boardmember Foster that this Resolution be Passed.  
The motion carried by the following vote:
