Call to Order
The meeting of the Transportation Committee was called to order at 1:37 P.M. by chair Pelz.

Present: Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Irons, Ms. Patterson and Mr. Ferguson
Excused: Mr. Gossett and Ms. Hague

 
1. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of May 26, 2004 meeting were adopted as written.

A MOTION confirming the executive's appointment of Ray Day, Jr., who resides in council
district ten, to the King County transit advisory committee.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff briefed the Committee on Proposed Motion 2004-0275. Mr. Day, Jr.
appointee to the King County transit advisory committee was present to brief and answer questions
from the members.
 
A motion was made by Mr. Ferguson that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Consent. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Votes: Yes: 5 - Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Irons, Ms. Patterson and Mr. Ferguson
No: 0
Excused: 2 - Mr. Gossett and Ms. Hague

 
Proposed Ordinance No. 2004-0250

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to execute an amendment to the
1976 Memorandum Agreement regarding the Interstate 90 (I-90) corridor.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff briefed the on Proposed Ordinance 2004-0250. Andrea Tull, I-90 Project
Manager, Agnes Govern, Sound Transit and Kim Becklund, City of Bellevue staff were present to brief
and answer questions from the members. Councilmember McKenna moved an amendment. There was
an amendment adopted by 5-0-2 with Councilmembers Hague and Gossett excused. The following
people were present to offer public testimony before the Committee.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the granting of a sign easement to the Central Puget Sound
Regional Transit Authority, a regional transportation system in council district 6.
Doug Hodson, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinance 2004-0267. Judy Riley,
Transit Division, KCDOT and Bernard Thompson, Facilities Management Division, DES were present
to brief and answer questions from the members. Councilmember Ferguson moved the amendment
and Title amendment were adopted 4-0-3 with Councilmember McKenna, Hague and Gossett.
 
A motion was made by Mr. Ferguson that this matter be Recommended Do Pass Substitute
Consent. The motion carried by the following vote:
Votes: Yes: 5 - Mr. Pelz, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Irons, Ms. Patterson and Mr. Ferguson
No: 0
Excused: 2 - Mr. Gossett and Ms. Hague
