The meeting of the Natural Resources, Parks and Open Space Committee was called to order at 1:33
P.M. by Chair Edmonds.

Mike Reed and Monica Clarke, Council Staff, gave a general briefing on Parks, Pools and
Community Centers with a power point presentation.

Proposed Ordinance No. 2002-0565 Ms. Edmonds and Ms. Patterson
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the executive to enter into an interlocal agreement between
King County and the city of Burien for transfer to the city of Lake Burien School Site park.
See item #6.
A motion was made by Mr. Irons that this matter be Recommended Do Pass. The motion
carried by the following vote:

King County and the city of Bellevue for transfer to the city of Eastgate park and Manor
Hill park.

There was an amendment adopted 4-0-1 with Councilmember von Reichbauer excused. The
following person was present to offer public testimony before the Committee:

Monica Clarke, Council Staff, briefed the Committee on Proposed Ordinances 2002-0565;
2002-0566; 2002-058 and 2002-0570. Steve Nolen, Road Services Division, Transportation
Department and Pete Ramels, Office of the Prosecuting Attorney were present to brief and answer
questions from the Committee.
