A MOTION declaring the intention of the King County council to dissolve King County Road Improvement District No. 57, and set the date for a public hearing.

      WHEREAS, King County Ordinance 1164, passed by the King County council on March 27, 1972, established King County Road Improvement District No. 57 ("RID 57") and King County Ordinance 1421, passed by the King County council on November 6, 1972, confirmed the final assessment roll for RID 57, and
      WHEREAS, the King County council passed Ordinance 16618, establishing the date of special election for Proposition 1 - The Panther Lake Annexation to the city of Kent, and on November 3, 2009, the voters approved the annexation with a July 1, 2010, effective date, and
      WHEREAS, the annexed area encompasses King County RID 57;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      A.  The council hereby states its intention to dissolve a road improvement district in King County known and designated as RID 57 and shall make void the original assessment and the subsequent liens against the properties within said district.
      B.  All persons who wish to be heard on the dissolution of RID 57 are hereby notified to appear and present their testimony at an open public meeting of the King County council to be held in Room 1001 of the King County Courthouse, Seattle, Washington, at 1:30pm on the _______ day of __________, 2010.  At such time and place, the council intends to hear such testimony and to act on the intentions set forth herein.
      C.  The clerk of the council is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said public hearing by publication and by mailing at the times and in the manner described in RCW 36.88.050.
