A MOTION approving a report on organizational structure and staffing efficiencies required in the 2010 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 16717, Section 126, Proviso P1.

      WHEREAS, the King County council in adopting the 2010 Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 16717, Section 126, Proviso P1, required the approval by motion of a report on organizational structure and staffing plans for the department of transportation roads services division, and
      WHEREAS, the executive has transmitted to the council with this motion the report called for in the proviso, and
      WHEREAS, the report includes explanations on how the roads services division will align organizational structure and staffing plans with the framework provided in the Strategic Plan for Road Services to streamline the organization, ensure appropriate staffing levels and staff competencies necessary to deliver the work plan, demonstrates the road services division's past practices and future plans are consistent with the proviso intent, and includes other materials necessary to make staffing and organizational decisions consistent with the proviso;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The report describing the organizational structure revisions for the road services division, Attachment A to this motion, is hereby approved.
