title
AN ORDINANCE for October 2010 public transportation service improvements for King County.
body
STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The service changes proposed for October 2010 include improvements to Routes 149, 164 and 168.
2.  These changes are funded by a Washington state Department of Transportation grant in the amount of $5,327,560.  There are no new costs to King County as the state is allowing King County Metro Transit to match grant funds with existing operating expenses from current Transit Now investments.
3.  These changes will improve service on three routes serving seven cities in southeast King County, including Auburn, Black Diamond, Covington, Enumclaw, Kent, Maple Valley and Renton.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1.  The October 2010 public transportation service improvements for
King County, substantially as described in Attachment A to this ordinance, are hereby approved.
