Title
A MOTION related to adoption of the 2010 work program for the government accountability and oversight committee.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2010 organization of the council was adopted via Motion 13129 on January 19, 2010, and
WHEREAS, Motion 13129 created the committees of the council and outlined committee responsibilities, and
WHEREAS, Motion 13129 established the government accountability and oversight committee as the body responsible to consider and make recommendations on: policies relating to the department of assessments; elections; records and licensing; animal control; cable communications; the county fair; King County international airport; risk management; executive services such as telecommunications, facilities management, purchasing and real property management; capital project oversight; and wastewater treatment as well as strategic planning performance management and performance measurement; management organizational structure; technology management; customer service; and the efficiency, cost effectiveness and performance of county departments and programs, and
WHEREAS, Motion 13129 further established the government accountability and oversight committee as the body responsible to track state and federal legislative action and develop recommendations on policy direction for the 2011 annual budget in the areas within the committee's purview, and
WHEREAS, the government accountability and oversight committee work program has been thoroughly discussed and developed by the committee and is attached to this motion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
The attached 2010 work program for the government accountability and oversight committee is hereby adopted.
