A MOTION acknowledging receipt of the civil protection order proviso report as required by the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 35, Proviso P1.A.

                     WHEREAS, the 2022-2023 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 35, Proviso P1, states that $400,000 shall not be expended or encumbered until the executive transmits a report describing the new protection order process as required in Proviso P1.A., a report evaluating the protection order pilot program as required in Proviso P2.B., and a motion acknowledging receipt of each report and both motions are passed by the council, and

                     WHEREAS, the executive has deemed it appropriate for superior court to transmit the reports outlined in Proviso P.1.A. directly to the council, and

                     WHEREAS, superior court has transmitted to the council the report requested in Proviso P1.A. entitled civil protection order proviso report along with a motion acknowledging receipt thereof by June 1, 2023;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The council hereby acknowledges receipt of the civil protection order proviso

report, Attachment A to this motion, as required by the 2023-2024 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19546, Section 35, Proviso P1.A.
