Title

A RESOLUTION of the Board of Supervisors of the King County Flood Control Zone District authorizing an Interlocal Agreement with the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services for procurement and amending Resolution FCD2009-06.2, as previously amended by Resolution FCD2020-13.1, setting forth the District’s policies for the acquisition of materials, equipment, supplies and services.

Body

                     WHEREAS, in 2009, the Board of Supervisors ("Board") of the King County Flood Control Zone District ("the District") established procurement policies consistent with Chapter 86.15 RCW for the construction of public works and the acquisition of materials, equipment, supplies and services as may be necessary for the benefit and operations of the District, and

                     WHEREAS, in 2020, the District amended its procurement policies to allow flexibility consistent with state law for professional and non-professional service contracts, while ensuring a competitive process, and

                     WHEREAS, in order to further increase efficiency in procurement consistent with the statutory framework for purchasing and contracting, the District desires to partner with the Washington Department of Enterprise Services to access the contracts for purchases and services procured by the state of Washington to cost-effectively obtain competitive pricing from vetted contractors;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT:

                     SECTION 1.  Approval.  The Chair is authorized to execute the Interlocal Agreement / Contract Usage Agreement attached hereto as attachment A which is incorporated herein by this reference.

                     SECTION 2.  Amendment.  FCD2009-06.2, as amended by FCD2020-13.1, is

hereby amended as set forth in attachment B hereto which is incorporated herein by this reference.
