Title

A MOTION appointing the ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor.

Body

                     WHEREAS, Amy Calderwood most recently served as the ombuds, director of King County office of public complaints/tax advisor and retired in February 2023, and

                     WHEREAS, Kymber Waltmunson was appointed by the council to serve as interim ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor until the council appoints a permanent ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor, and

                     WHEREAS, the King County council conducted a nationwide search to selected a candidate to serve as the next ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor, and

                     WHEREAS, in accordance with K.C.C. 2.52.050 the King County council is tasked with appointing an ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor when the position becomes vacant, and

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     Jeremy Bell is hereby appointed to serve as the ombuds, director of the King County office of public complaints/tax advisor effective June 26, 2023.
