                     WHEREAS, the King County 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section 112, Proviso P2, as amended by Ordinance 19443, Section 28, Proviso P2, requires the executive to transmit a final report with an analysis and recommendation on whether to establish a capacity charge exemption or reduced rate for King County residents who themselves, or whose progenitors, or both, were impacted by racial restrictions in the acquisition of residential real estate, in the form of racial deed restrictions, racial covenants and redlining practices, and

                     WHEREAS, the executive has transmitted to the council the required final report, entitled Impact of Redlining and Racist Real Estate Practices on King County Residents - Wastewater Capacity Charge Exemption Recommendations, and a motion acknowledging the receipt thereof by April 1, 2023;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The receipt of the final report, which is Attachment A to this motion, in accordance with the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section

112, Proviso P2, as amended by Ordinance 19443, Section 28, Proviso P2, is hereby acknowledged.
