Title

A MOTION approving the North Highline urban design implementation strategies study, in response to the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section 87, Proviso P1.

Body

                     WHEREAS, the 2021-2022 Biennial Budget Ordinance, Ordinance 19210, Section 87, Proviso P1, states that $150,000 of the appropriation "shall not be expended or encumbered until the executive transmits a North Highline urban design implementation strategies study, and a motion that should approve the strategies study and a motion approving the study is passed by the council.  The ordinance should reference the subject matter, the proviso's ordinance, ordinance section and proviso number in both the title and body of the motion," and

                     WHEREAS, the King County executive is committed to creating and implementing urban design standards that promote a vibrant built environment that is safe, aesthetic, and representative of the diverse community of North Highline, and

                     WHEREAS, the King County executive hereby transmits to the council the North Highline urban design implementation strategies study required in Ordinance 19210, Section 87, Proviso P1;

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:

                     The urban design implementation strategies study in Attachment A to this motion is approved.
