Title
A RESOLUTION adopting a six-year capital improvement program for the King County Flood Control Zone District, amending FCD2008-15, Attachments C and D.
Body
      WHEREAS, the January 2009 storm event caused extensive damage to flood facilities in King County; and
      WHEREAS, the King County water and land resources division staff inspected flood damage on behalf of the King County Flood Control Zone District; and
      WHEREAS, this inspection identified total new damages totaling $25.8 million and affecting 18,800 linear feet; and
      WHEREAS, the March 23 and April 27, 2009, King County staff briefed the Flood Control District executive committee; and,
      WHEREAS, on April 16, 2009, the Advisory Committee to the Flood Control Zone District recommended modifying the 2009 capital budget and six-year capital improvement plan to prioritize damaged facilities for repairs in 2009.
      WHEREAS Resolution FCD2008-17.1, Section 5, sets forth procedures for amending the budget, providing for adjustments to the work program or six-year capital improvement program; and,
      WHEREAS Resolution FCD2008-15.2 adopted Attachment C as the King County Flood Control Zone District 2009 capital budget request and also adopted Attachment D as the King County Flood Control Zone District six-year capital improvement program;
      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE KING COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE  DISTRICT:
      SECTION 1.  The 2009 Revised capital improvement budget, Attachment A to this resolution, and the 2009 revised six-year capital improvement program, Attachment B to this resolution, are hereby approved.
