Title
AN ORDINANCE relating to property in the vicinity of the city of Enumclaw; authorizing the King County executive to enter into an intergovernmental land transfer agreement with the city of Enumclaw relating to the King County fairgrounds and other property in the vicinity of Enumclaw.
Body
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Findings.
      A.  The county and the city of Enumclaw have agreed on the terms of an agreement known as Intergovernmental Land Transfer Agreement between King County and the City of Enumclaw ("the agreement").
      B.  The agreement provides for the transfer of ownership of the King County fairgrounds, Sportsman park, Farmers park and certain other parcels hereafter referred to as "the property" to the city of Enumclaw.
      C.  The agreement serves an important county purpose by promoting economic development, relieving the county of maintenance and operations obligations for the property, and ensuring continued and enhanced recreational opportunities for the Enumclaw area.
      SECTION 2.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into the Intergovernmental Land Transfer Agreement Between King County and the City of
 
Enumclaw, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, along with such other documents as are necessary to complete the transfer consistent with the agreement.
