Title
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into a land transfer agreement between King County and Redmond North Little League, a not-for-profit Washington corporation, to transfer King County's Redmond Ridge park.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Findings.
A. Due to continuing financial constraints, King County desires to divest itself of ownership, management, and financial responsibility for parks, open space, recreational facilities and programs inside and near city boundaries and within the urban growth area.
B. King County and the Redmond North Little League have agreed to terms of a land transfer agreement for the transfer of Redmond Ridge park to Redmond North Little League.
C. The recitals in the agreement set forth relevant facts supporting and explaining the terms of the transfers.
D. King County and Redmond North Little League have agreed that the transfers will take place within thirty days following execution of the interlocal agreement by both parties.
E. Transfer of the park under the terms and conditions of the attached agreement will serve an important county purpose by ensuring that the park will remain open and available for public use.
SECTION 2. The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter ito a land
transfer agreement, substantially in the form attached to this ordinance, with Redmond North Little League relating to the transfer of real property.
