SECTION 1. Findings:
A. The King County radio communications service is an enterprise organization within the information and telecommunication services division.
B. The radio communications services facility has been located at 6452 South 144th Street in Tukwila for the past five years. This location is ideal for the radio communications service facility because of its centralized location and operational advantages. The radio communications service group has customers as far south as Enumclaw and north to Snohomish. The location also has easy access to metro, community transit and sound transit transportation.
C. D. The lease will commence on October 1, 2006, and end on September 30, 2011. The county has the option of renewing the lease for another five years beginning October 1, 2011.
E. This lease agreement represents no change in the approved staffing, work program, budget or physical location for the King County radio communication service.
F. In accordance with K.C.C. 4.04.040, the King County council may adopt an ordinance permitting the county to enter into contracts requiring the payment of funds from the appropriation of subsequent fiscal years.
