Body
      SECTION 1.  Findings:
      A.  In alignment with the policy framework of the Parks Omnibus Ordinance (Ordinance 14509) and the Annexation Initiative Motion (Motion 12018), King County desires to divest itself of ownership, management and financial responsibility for parks, open space, recreational facilities and programs inside and near city boundaries.
      B.  King County and the city of Redmond have agreed to terms of an interlocal agreement for the transfer of Slough House park to the city.
      C.  The recitals in the agreement set forth relevant facts supporting and explaining the terms of the transfers.
      D.  King County and the city have agreed that the transfers will take place within thirty days following execution of the interlocal agreement by both parties.
      E.  Transfer of the park under the terms and conditions of the attached agreement will serve an important county purpose by ensuring that the park will remain open and available for community use.
