Title
A MOTION to extend the interim appointment of Pam Jones, juvenile division director, for a sixty-day period.
Body
      WHEREAS, on May 3, 2005, Pam Jones was appointed as the interim director of the juvenile division of the department of adult and juvenile detention pursuant to K.C.C. 2.16.110.A, and
      WHEREAS, the executive and the department of adult and juvenile detention hereby certify that they are currently engaged in a competitive search process involves participation by the superior court judges, and
      WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the county and its citizens and is critical to the effective running of the juvenile detention facility that Ms. Jones continue serving in the interim while the search for qualified candidates for the position has been concluded, and
      WHEREAS, pursuant to K.C.C. 2.16.110.E, the county council shall grant at least one successive sixty-day extension of the interim appointment;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      Pam Jones shall continue to serve as the interim juvenile division director for an additional sixty days while the search for qualified candidates for the position has been concluded.
