A MOTION approving the revised executive recommendation and business case for jail health services's electronic health records project and implementation plan.

      WHEREAS, the King County council adopted last year's budget and approved $250,000 for the development of a business case for the jail health services's electronic health record project, managed by the Seattle-King County department of public health, and
      WHEREAS, the council placed $1,750,000 in reserve for implementation of the jail health services' electronic health record project, and
      WHEREAS, the council appropriated the full amount of $1,750,000, but limited the amount available until it approves the project business case, and
      WHEREAS, the difference between the executive's budget request and the proviso amount is $75,000, which the office of management and budget requested to cover staff and other miscellaneous costs between the assumed submittal of the business plan to the council, and
      WHEREAS, the appropriation for CIP project 377136, jail health services's electronic health records project, is $1,675,000, and,
      WHEREAS, the project review board has reviewed and approved the business case and recommended submittal to the council;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The business case for a jail health services's electronic health records project, Attachment A to this ordinance, is hereby approved.
