      PREAMBLE:
On April 29, 2003, the council adopted Ordinance 14626, adopting, and correcting identified errors and omissions of classification titles and pay ranges for appointed, career service, and civil service positions.  Subsequent to the adoption of Ordinance 14626, Human Resources Division completed a classification project specifically reviewing the work performed by information technology ("IT") employees within the executive branch of King County.  The purpose of this ordinance is to formally adopt these new IT classifications.

SECTION 1.  The classification titles and salary range allocations for non-represented classifications in the executive branch as listed on Attachment A to this ordinance are hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 2.  This ordinance is remedial in nature and the amendments included in Attachment A to this ordinance apply retroactively to January 1, 2003, and thereafter.
