      STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The Office of Federal Contract Compliance, pursuant to 41 C.F.R. 60, requires federal grant recipients to develop and implement an affirmative action plan.
2.  Initiative 200 allows for public employers to establish affirmative action plans to meet federal grant requirements.
3.  King County receives federal grants directly from the federal government and indirectly through state and local agencies.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  Ordinance 14571, Section 2, is hereby amended to read as follows:
      The ((January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2004)) King County EEO((-))/Affirmative Action Plan January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006, Attachment A to ((this ordinance)) this ordinance, is hereby adopted.  It shall remain in effect through ((December 31, 2004)) December 31, 2006.
