AN ORDINANCE authorizing the King County executive to enter into and execute a grant agreement with the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance regarding the donation of funds to pay the acquisition costs or debt service of the Juanita Woodlands acquisition project.
Body
      STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  By Ordinance 14817, King County authorized Juanita Woodlands open space acquisition project ("Woodlands"), a 36.3 acre wooded site on Juanita Drive Northeast in the Juanita community of unincorporated King County, north of the present boundary of the city of Kirkland.
2.  By Ordinance 14817 and in accordance with  K.C.C. chapter 2.80, King County accepted the donation of funds by the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance as referenced in Ordinance 14817, Section 1.C. and D., requiring that any such donations shall be applied toward the payment of debt service on the bonds issued to purchase the Woodlands.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The King County executive is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a grant agreement with the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance, containing language substantially similar to that in Attachment A to this ordinance, regarding the donation of funds to pay the acquisition costs or debt service of the Juanita Woodlands acquisition project and the King County council hereby accepts the donation of funds on the terms and conditions set forth in the grant agreement.
