AN ORDINANCE authorizing the county executive to enter into an interlocal agreement with the city of Issaquah relating to fire investigation services provided by the King County department of development and environmental services.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1.  The city of Issaquah has requested to contract with King County for fire investigation services beginning in 2005.
2.  The county and the city intend, through this interlocal agreement, to provide quality public service within Issaquah city limits.
3.  An agreement relating to the provision of these duties is authorized by the Interlocal Cooperation Act, chapter 39.34 RCW.
      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  The county executive is hereby authorized to enter into the interlocal agreement, substantially in the form attached, with the city of Issaquah for the county to provide fire investigation services within Issaquah city limits.
