A MOTION authorizing the county executive to amend an intergovernmental agreement with the Washington state Department of Corrections relating to district court probation services.

      WHEREAS, Motion 10371 provides for King County district court to provide misdemeanant probation services for offenders sentenced by King County superior court, and
      WHEREAS, the charges and fees associated with the program need to be increased to fully recover the county costs and keep probation officer to caseload ratios at manageable levels, and this amendment will increase those fees, and
      WHEREAS, the King County district court is able and willing to provide the requested services;
      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the Council of King County:
      The county executive is hereby authorized to execute the amendment to the intergovernmental agreement, substantially in the form attached, with the Washington state Department of Corrections for providing misdemeanant probation services.
