Title
AN ORDINANCE establishing September 17, 2002, as the date of a special election on the question of annexation and assumption of indebtedness to the city of Redmond of an unincorporated area known as Mage; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Findings:
1. The city of Redmond, Washington, by Resolution 1146 has determined that it is in the public interest and general welfare to provide for the annexation of an area known as Mage Annexation, in accordance with chapter 35A.14 RCW.
2. City of Redmond Resolution 1146 satisfies the provisions of chapter 35A.14 RCW for qualification for annexation.
3. The city of Redmond, by Resolution 1146, initiated the annexation of the Mage Annexation area.
4. The King County boundary review board received a request for review under chapter 36.93 RCW, and on July 18, 2002, the review board, in file 2124, deemed the proposed city of Redmond Mage annexation file approved.
5. Pursuant to chapters 29.13 and 35A.14 RCW, the metropolitan King County council deems an emergency exists for the purpose of calling a special election to be held on the question of this annexation on September 17, 2002.
SECTION 2. A special election shall be held on the 17th day of September 2002 in accordance with chapter 35A.14 RCW within the territory of the proposed annexation, for the purpose of submitting the question of annexation of the Mage annexation area and whether or not all property in the annexation area will assume its proportionate share of existing city bonded indebtedness.
SECTION 3. The number of registered voters within the subject area is estimated at eight as nearly as may be determined from available records.
SECTION 4. It is hereby found that an urgent need exists for the consideration by the electors of the proposed annexation. Pursuant to RCW 29.13.010 and 35A.14.050, it is hereby deemed that an emergency exists. The ...
