      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
      SECTION 1.  In accordance with Section 495 of the King County Charter and K.C.C. 4.04.040B.7, the county council hereby authorizes the county executive to enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement with the city of Renton, containing language substantially similar to that attached to this ordinance, for the purpose of jointly administering federal community development block grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and planning and undertaking community development and housing activities within the city.
      SECTION 2.  The interlocal cooperation agreement will be in effect for a three-year period, be renewable for subsequent three-year periods under certain conditions and will require the payment of funds from appropriations of subsequent fiscal years.
