AN ORDINANCE relating to the annexation of approximately 61.86 acres of land into the Covington Water District corporate boundary for the purpose of providing water service and amending Ordinance 13766.

STATEMENT OF FACTS:
1. A notice of intention proposing the annexation of approximately 61.86 acres of land into the Covington Water District corporate boundary for the purpose of providing water services was filed with the King County council effective January 31, 2000. Covington Water District found the petition for annexation to be sufficient and concurred with the proposed annexation in Resolution 2028, passed September 8, 1999. The District filed a Determination of Nonsignificance on the proposed annexation on October 20, 1999.
5. The county council held a public hearing on March 13, 2000. On March 13, 2000, the council passed Ordinance 13766, which approved the annexation, as reflected in an attached legal description.
6. On October 4, 2001, the Covington Water District passed Resolution 3098, which amended the legal descriptions contained in Resolution 2028 to correct drafting errors in the legal description and identification of tax parcel numbers.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY:
SECTION 1. Attachment A to Ordinance 13766 (legal description) is hereby repealed and Attachment A to this ordinance (legal description attached to Covington
Water District Resolution 3098, adopted on October 4, 2001) is hereby adopted.
